The Elbow Jet technology uses the Coanda effect to make fine particle separations as fine as half a micron. This technology uses particle drag and airflow to make separations rather than a traditional classifying wheel. The lack of rotating parts inside the system eliminates any risk of contamination inside of the product while also allowing for repeatable results. The other significant difference with the Elbow Jet is that it can separate at two different sizes at once! This is the key when it comes to fine-tuning the product span.
The Elbow Jet gives the user complete control over their product’s upper and lower particle size limit. This allows companies to achieve a very low span while simultaneously maximizing the yield of their products. All of this is done in a single pass through the system, which reduces operating time while maximizing the yield of good product. Creating single-digit micron products is a common occurrence using this technology and has been proven at scale on this system.
