Zirconia powder (zirconium dioxide) is a naturally occurring oxide powder that is a major ingredient in the electronics industry due to its high ionic conductivity. Sieving zirconia powder at fine sizes can be a challenging process due to the shape and flowability of the powder. When sieving zirconia powder, these needs to be considered as the angular shape of the powder can lead to somewhat confusing results. Customers need to decide which angular particles they consider “product” when sieving zirconia powder and plan to run the equipment based off of this.
