Thermoplastic Polyurethane Powders (TPU) are used in the 3d printing polymer process due to the powders rubber like elasticity and high thermal stability as well. The powder is commonly used for parts that require flex to them, rather than parts that are designed to be durable like PA12 powdered parts. Sieving TPU powders is a process that is extremely difficult due to the elastic nature and low density of the powders. Using conventional screeners, the material may struggle to pass through the mesh as it bounces around inside the screener and may struggle to find the screen opening.
