What are Zeolite Based Catalysts? Zeolite Catalysts are crystalline aluminosilicate materials used in oil refining and petrochemical production. Their high surface area and uniform pore structure make them very efficient in the catalyzing chemical reactions. Sieving Zeolite powders can be a difficult process due to their extremely fine particle size (10um-150) and their tendency to agglomerate together. When processing Zeolites for FCC, exact particle size distributions are required in order to maximize catalytic efficiency and improve reactor performance. Using a conventional or ultrasonic sieve at these fine mesh sizes can lead to rapidly blinded screen meshes and poor efficiencies due to the lack of energy on the screen surface. Furthermore, conventional screeners can be costly to replace the meshes and often require constant maintenance which reduces the uptime of the equipment.
