Nickel oxide (NiO) is a green to gray-black powder widely used in high-performance applications such as battery materials, fuel cells, ceramics, catalysts, and electronic components. Its electrical conductivity and thermal stability make it a key component in cathode materials for lithium-ion and solid-state batteries. To meet tight performance specs, consistent particle size and purity are critical when using nickel oxide powders.
Because nickel oxide can agglomerate during storage or handling, it’s common for oversized clumps or inconsistent particle distributions to form. This creates problems in downstream processes like sintering, coating, and pressing. Traditional screeners often struggle to efficiently separate fine nickel oxide powders, especially below 50 microns, due to screen blinding and weak energy transfer.
